Ten years after the promulgation of Law 18220 “National System of Archives” (2007), also known as the “National Archives Law”, the author proposes to highlight its postulates, its validity and to reflect on its main dispositions. This rule, a result of the synergy between the legal framework, the university and the civil society, satisfied a legal empty that completes and articulates a normative trilogy along with the Habeas Data Law and the Information Access Law.
