The objective of the article is to analyze and discuss the need to conceive university teacher training from a plurality of knowledge. From the integration of various conceptual developments on university teaching, in dialogue with the Latin American university model, a series of relevant dimensions are proposed to think about university teaching and training (ethical-political, critical-reflexive, dialogical-generative, pedagogical-didactic, disciplinary-experiential and systemic-communicational). The importance of deepening this perspective in the various training spaces and devices, aimed at the professionalization and permanent training of teachers at the university level, is highlighted.
