Introduction:

The article presents a research on memes related to the field of library science on Facebook. The importance of the topic is emphasized, as it has not been sufficiently studied from the Information Sciences, especially in the library science field. The aim of the analysis is to understand the messages, meanings, and representations derived from these memes, and it is suggested that Iconography can be a useful discipline to approach this phenomenon.

Methodology:

This research is a descriptive mixed design with an emphasis on qualitative techniques for interpreting results based on the reflection of library science memes for library work. The method used was iconographic analysis, which was used for the description and classification of memes.

Results:

The existing links between the content and meanings of library science memes on Facebook are exposed.

Conclusions:

The results allow describing the meanings related to the library work of library science memes on Facebook.
