SUMMARY The airway management is always a subject of conceern for all the anesthesiologists. In 1992 the American Society of Anesthesiology created a group of difficult airway management and its Task Force. Supraglottic devices created and development in different period of time, are in all of the guidelines of difficult airway ; but they are use more often in the scheduled anesthesiologist practice. This study describes the different supraglottic devices, their characteristics, as well as their advantages and limitations.
