CLEI (Latin-american Center for Informatics Studies) is a non profit institution comprising more than 100 universities and research centers, having as main goals to improve Computer Science research and education in the region.

The CLEI Electronic Journal (CLEIej, ISSN 0717- 5000) is the flagship publication of CLEI. CLEIej has been founded in 1998, and its current publication frequency is three issues per year.

Its abbreviated title is CLEIej., which should be used in bibliographies; page footnotes, and bibliographic references.
