Se realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura disponible en el período 2000-2024. Se localizaron 92 estudios que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y permitieron identificar 23 instrumentos de evaluación. Los instrumentos revisados, en general, consisten en baterías que constan de diversas tareas que valoran los componentes que se han identificado como centrales para el aprendizaje de la lectura y la escritura. Específicamente en el contexto latinoamericano, es fundamental continuar desarrollando instrumentos teóricamente fundamentados que atiendan a las particularidades lingüísticas de las distintas variedades del español y que cuenten no solo con estudios psicométricos, sino también con datos normativos obtenidos con poblaciones locales]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This study aims to identify the instruments used in empirical research to assess reading and writing skills in Spanish-speaking children attending the early grades of primary education in Latin America. A systematic review of the literature published between 2000 and 2024 was conducted. A total of 92 studies met the inclusion criteria and allowed for the identification of 23 assessment instruments. In general, the reviewed instruments consist of batteries comprising various tasks that evaluate components recognized as central to the development of reading and writing. Within the Latin American context, it is essential to continue developing theoretically grounded instruments that address the linguistic particularities of the different varieties of Spanish, and that are supported not only by psychometric studies but also by normative data obtained from local populations]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo: O objetivo deste estudo é identificar os instrumentos utilizados em pesquisas empíricas para avaliar as habilidades de leitura e escrita de crianças falantes de espanhol que frequentam os primeiros anos do ensino fundamental na América Latina. Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática da literatura disponível no período de 2000-2024. Foram localizados 92 estudos que atenderam aos critérios de inclusão e permitiram identificar 23 instrumentos de avaliação. Os instrumentos revisados, em geral, consistem em baterias compostas por diversas tarefas que avaliam os componentes identificados como centrais para a aprendizagem da leitura e da escrita. Especificamente no contexto latino-americano, é essencial continuar desenvolvendo instrumentos teoricamente fundamentados que considerem as particularidades linguísticas das diferentes variedades do espanhol e que disponham não apenas de estudos psicométricos, mas também de dados normativos obtidos a partir de populações locais]]></p></abstract>
