Mediante una encuesta online se involucró a 98 personas que trabajan en este campo en Chile y se realizaron análisis de contenido temático y análisis estadísticos descriptivos. Se asociaron sus respuestas a cuatro posiciones discursivas adultocéntricas y tres infantocéntricas, y se crearon perfiles de cada grupo con base en las otras variables de estudio. Se identificó que las personas con posiciones infantocéntricas tienden a ser más críticas de su práctica, llevan más años de experiencia en el campo y se desempeñan generalmente como activistas o comunicadores ambientales. A partir de lo evidenciado, el presente estudio da luces para la construcción de instrumentos de medición de la participación que sean más sofisticados, y concluye con aspectos que deben ser profundizados o subsanados en próximas evaluaciones]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The objective of this research was to assess the participation promoted by Environmental Education professionals, using taxonomies derived from studies conducted with adults, children, and adolescents. A total of 98 individuals working in this field in Chile were involved through an online survey, and thematic content analysis and descriptive statistical analyses were performed. Their responses were associated with four adultcentric discursive positions and three infantocentric positions, and profiles were created for each group based on other study variables. It was identified that individuals with infantocentric positions tend to be more critical of their practice, have more years of experience in the field, and generally work as environmental activists or communicators. Based on the findings, this study provides insights for the development of more sophisticated instruments for measuring participation and concludes with aspects that should be further explored or addressed in future evaluations.]]></p></abstract>

Por meio de um questionário online, 98 pessoas que trabalham nesta área no Chile foram envolvidas, realizando uma análise de conteúdo temática e uma análise estatística descritiva. As suas respostas foram associadas a quatro posições discursivas adultocêntricas e três infantocêntricas, criando perfis de cada grupo com base nas outras variáveis do estudo. Identificou-se que as pessoas com posições infantocêntricas tendem a ser mais críticas em relação à sua prática, têm mais anos de experiência na área e geralmente trabalham como ativistas ou comunicadores ambientais.
