A menudo, el debate apuntaba a la articulación entre el arte y los artistas con la &#8220;lucha de los obreros&#8221;. Ambos actores eran considerados protagonistas y agentes de una revolución en marcha, codo con codo en la misma lucha. Este artículo pretende describir y analizar algunas resoluciones de arte público propuestas por la Liga de Escritores y Artistas Revolucionarios (LEAR), una organización de izquierda y antifascista que incluía a artistas e intelectuales de diversas disciplinas. Mi objetivo es mostrar cómo la LEAR propuso alternativas de arte público, proyectado como una herramienta útil para los trabajadores a partir un programa enfocado en la colaboración a través del arte.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: In the first half of the twentieth century, public art was a central topic of discussions about how mexican art should be. Often, the debate pointed to articulate art and artists with «workers&#8217; fight». Both actors was considered protagonists and agents of a revolution in progress, hand in hand in the same struggle. This paper seeks to describe and analyze some resolutions of public art proposed by the League of Revolutionary Writers and Artists (LEAR), a left and anti-fascist organization which included artists and intellectuals from various disciplines. My aim is to show how the LEAR&#8217;s program proposed alternatives of public art, projected as a useful tool for the workers on the basis on a program focused in the collaboration trough art.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo: Na primeira metade do século XX, a arte pública foi um tema central nas discussões respeito a como tinha que ser a arte mexicana. Frequentemente, o debate apontava à articulação entre a arte e os artistas com a &#8220;luta de obreiros&#8221;. Ambos os atores eram considerados protagonistas e agentes de uma revolução em curso, ombro com ombro na mesma luta. Este artigo pretende descrever e analisar algumas resoluções de arte pública proposta pela &#8220;Liga de Escritores e Artistas&#8221; (LEAR) uma organização de esquerda e antifascista que inclua a artistas e intelectuais de diversas disciplinas. Meu objetivo é mostrar como a LEAR propôs alternativas de arte pública, projetada como uma ferramenta útil para os trabalhadores a partir de um programa focado na colaboração através da arte.]]></p></abstract>
