No obstante, variables como las estrategias de estudio, la planificación en la elección de los cursos a realizar y el manejo del tiempo repercuten de manera significativa en el desempeño estudiantil en los cursos del primer año de las diferentes carreras de ingeniería. En este contexto, la FIng viene desarrollando diversas actividades con el objetivo de contribuir a mejorar la situación de los estudiantes. Este trabajo presenta una de estas líneas de acción: el Taller de Iniciación a la Planificación Estratégica (TIPE), dirigido a la población ingresante y a estudiantes que se encuentran realizando uno de los cursos obligatorios del primer semestre de su carrera. El taller pretende introducir a los estudiantes en la temática de la planificación estratégica de manera explícita, y muy práctica, considerando como caso de estudio el análisis de los primeros semestres de la malla curricular de sus estudios. En este artículo describimos el TIPE y analizamos los primeros resultados de la experiencia desarrollada en el año 2017.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In Facultad de Ingeniería (FIng) of Universidad de la República-Uruguay, the problems that are a result of the massiveness and the low pre-university academic level diagnosed, are some of the causes of failure in initial courses. However, variables such as study strategies, the choice of courses to be taken, and time management have a significant impact on student performance in the first year courses of the different careers of FIng. In this context, FIng has been developing different activities with the aim of improving the situation of students. This paper presents one of these activities: the Workshop on Initiation to Strategic Planning (TIPE), which is aimed at the new students and the ones who are taking one of the courses of the first semester of their career. This workshop aims to introduce students to the subject of strategic planning, in an explicit and very practical way, taking as a case of study the analysis of the first semesters of the curricular trajectory of their careers. In this article we describe TIPE and analyze the first results of the experience developed in 2017.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Na Faculdade de Engenharia (FIng) da Universidade da República-Uruguai, a quantidade de alunos e o baixo nível acadêmico pré-universitário diagnosticado são algumas das causas do alto nível de fracasso nos cursos iniciais. No entanto, aspectos como as estratégias de estudo, o planejamento na escolha dos cursos a serem realizados e o gerenciamento de tempo têm um impacto significativo no desempenho dos alunos nos cursos do primeiro ano das diferentes cursos de engenharia. Neste contexto, a FIng tem desenvolvido diversas atividades com o objetivo de contribuir para a melhoria da situação dos estudantes. Este artigo apresenta uma das linhas de ação: o Workshop de Iniciação ao Planejamento Estratégico (TIPE), voltado para a população ingressante e para os estudantes que estão concluindo um dos cursos obrigatórios do primeiro semestre.
