Es así que se lleva a cabo una búsqueda de antecedentes de la importancia y la evolución de esta práctica, para luego conocer la realidad de un Centro Regional de Profesores. En 2018, se encuestan dos tercios de los alumnos del Centro (más de 500), de diferentes carreras y años, mediante un formulario escrito que se completa de forma voluntaria y anónima. Entre los aspectos generales, se pueden destacar: que esta práctica es muy frecuente, más del 90 % afirma tomar apuntes y reconoce su importancia; además, se verifica el convencimiento estudiantil de que la práctica se une con el buen rendimiento escolar. En general manifiestan tomar apuntes para entender mejor y poder registrar lo dado en clase a modo de memoria. Al separar las respuestas por tipos de carreras (letras, artes y ciencias), no se detectan diferencias apreciables. Se puede afirmar la vigencia de la práctica, la percepción positiva que los estudiantes tienen de ella y el poco uso de medios digitales en la actividad, contrariamente a lo que se pensaba al comenzar la investigación. Otro aspecto que se destaca es que la mayoría de los estudiantes no han recibido instrucción para tomar apuntes; entre las dificultades que mencionan al realizar la tarea, está la baja velocidad de escritura, aspecto que requeriría especial atención en futuros trabajos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Notes taken by students in class have always been important for education, independently of the form used to take and keep them. Taking this fact into account, a research of the antecedents of the importance and evolution of this practice was carried out so that the reality of a Regional Centre of Teachers could be known. In 2018 two thirds (over 500) of the students of this center from different areas and grades were surveyed using a written form which was voluntarily and anonymously completed. Among the general aspects, it can be stated that this practice is very frequent as more than the 90 % of the surveyed students admit taking notes recognizing its importance. Besides, students are convinced that this practice is closely linked to good academic performance. In general, they state they take notes to understand topics better and keep a record of what is taught in class to help them remember the topics of the lessons afterwards. Classifying the answers according to the different subject areas of teacher training (Language, Arts and Science), no relevant differences are found. As a consequence, it can be stated that note-taking is a current practice among students who consider it positive for their learning. Other aspect that can be considered is the fact that the use of digital media is not so popular for note-taking among students, contrary to previous expectations of the researchers. It is interesting that the majority of students has not had any form of formal instruction related to note-taking and encounters the difficulty of slow writing speed while taking notes, both aspects which would require some special attention.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Os registros feitos por alunos durante a aula são uma parte importante da educação, independentemente da ferramenta didática utilizada ou a forma em que são realizados. Por isso, foi feita uma pesquisa sobre a importância histórica e a evolução desta prática, e logo comparada com a realidade de um Centro Regional de Professores. A avaliação, feita em 2018, contou com a participação de dois terços dos estudantes do Centro (mais de 500), de diferentes carreiras e anos, que responderam uma enquete através de um formulário escrito, preenchido de forma voluntária e anônima. Os resultados do estudo mostraram que essa prática é muito frequente, já que mais de 90 % dos estudantes afirmam que tomam anotações, reconhecem sua importância, e manifestam ter a convicção de que esta prática está associada com um bom desempenho escolar. De modo geral, o motivo que leva os alunos a tomar notas na aula é entender melhor o que é ditado, e poder registra-lo para ajudar a memória. Ao agrupar as respostas por tipos de carreiras (Letras, Artes e Ciências), não são detectadas diferenças apreciáveis entre elas. Para todas as áreas se confirmou a validade da prática, a percepção positiva dela pelos estudantes, e o pouco uso das ferramentas digitais na atividade, ao contrário do que se pensava no início da investigação. Porém, a pesar da relevância da toma de anotações, a maioria dos alunos não recebeu instruções para realizar esta atividade. Entre as principais dificuldades mencionadas está a baixa velocidade de escrita, um aspecto que exigiria atenção especial em trabalhos futuros.]]></p></abstract>
