El pensamiento inductivo desempeña un papel crucial en la formulación teórica, ya que la recopilación de datos conduce al surgimiento de hipótesis y destaca conexiones con patrones universales. Sin embargo, la literatura etnográfica tiende a centrarse más en técnicas de observación y descuida otros métodos de campo. Para abordar esta laguna, este artículo analiza el uso de métodos visuales, como sociogramas y dibujos hechos por participantes, en un estudio de caso. Estas herramientas mejoraron la profundidad del significado en el proceso de investigación etnográfica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Sociological ethnography has gained more acceptance among sociologists due to its ability to understand everyday life at a micro social level. Inductive thinking plays a crucial role in theoretical formulation as data gathering leads to the emergence of hypotheses, highlighting connections to universal patterns. However, ethnography literature tends to focus more on observation techniques, neglecting other field methods. To address this gap, this article discusses the use of visual methods, such as sociograms and participant-made drawings, in a case study. These tools enhanced the depth of meaning in the ethnographic research process.]]></p></abstract>

O pensamento indutivo desempenha um papel crucial na formulação teórica, pois a recolha de dados leva ao surgimento de hipóteses, destacando ligações com padrões universais. Contudo, a literatura etnográfica tende a concentrar-se mais nas técnicas de observação, negligenciando outros métodos de campo. Para colmatar esta lacuna, este artigo explora a utilização de métodos visuais, como sociogramas e desenhos feitos pelos participantes, num estudo de caso.
