Se aplicó el potencial del análisis loglineal siguiendo las propuestas de Breen (2004)y Vallet (2004a; 2004b; 2017) y los avances previos sobre la aplicación del modelo de relaciones asociativas origen-educación-destino (OED). Se analizó el efecto de los cambios estructurales, de cohortes y de la educación sobre la movilidad social. Los resultados destacan los efectos estructurales sobre las cohortes y la educación en la movilidad social. Le educación tuvo un efecto más débil de lo esperado.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of this work is to analyze social mobility in comparative perspective between the cities of Maldonado and Salto, where we carried out social mobility surveys in 2000 and 2012. We apply the potential of loglinear analysis following, the proposals of Breen (2004) and Vallet (2004a, 2004b, 2017), and our previous advances on the application of the OED associative relations model. Analysis models data based on changes of structural, cohorts and education variables on social mobility. The results highlight the structural effects upon cohorts and education for social mobility. Education effect was weaker than expected.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar de forma comparativa a mobilidade social nas cidades de Maldonado e Salto, onde foram realizadas pesquisas sobre o assunto em 2000 e 2012. O potencial da análise loglinear foi aplicado a partir das propostas de Breen (2004) e Vallet (2004a; 2004b; 2017) e os avanços anteriores na aplicação do modelo de relações associativas origem-educação-destino (OED). O efeito das mudanças estruturais, de coorte e de educação na mobilidade social foi analisado. Os resultados destacam os efeitos estruturais nas coortes e na educação na mobilidade social. A educação teve um efeito mais fraco do que o esperado.]]></p></abstract>
