Los resultados muestran que no hubo pérdida de pacientes. Los adolescentes evaluaron la atención en ambos servicios en forma satisfactoria.El control metabólico mejoro en forma significativa. Contar con políticas institucionales junto a un proyecto de transición, podría amplificar estos resultados favorables en una población particularmente sensible a los cambios en los servicios de salud.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The transition of adolescents with diabetes from the Pediatric Diabetes Unit to the Adult Diabetes Unit was evaluated. The results show that there was no loss of patients. The adolescents evaluated the care in both services satisfactorily. Metabolic control improved significantly. Having institutional policies together with a transition project could amplify these favorable results in a population that is particularly sensitive to changes in health services.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo: A transição de adolescentes com diabetes da Unidade de Diabetes Pediátrico para a Unidade de Diabetes Adulto foiavaliada.
