We present Volume 16 of the journal Ciencias Psicológicas. This volume includes 39 original articles and 1 short communication, a number of articles that places our journal just below the average number of articles published by other journals in our field in Latin America and the Caribbean.² However, this figure does not make evident an aspect that we want to focus on today: the people behind the articles.

The 40 articles published were the result of the work of a total of 157 authors, 60 % female, of different nationalities. Of the total number of articles, 14 are instrumental studies, 14 quantitative type research, 10 qualitative type, and 2 are systematic or scoping reviews. These manuscripts were enriched by the comments and suggestions made by a total of 85 referees (59 % women), also of different nationalities (see Figure 1).

It is a total of 242 researchers who, interacting with the editorial and technical teams of Ciencias Psicológicas, made possible one more volume of a journal that from its origins was conceived with international projection and full open access.

A journal that has managed to be included and indexed in important databases and repositories over the years and in 2022 was included in PsycInfo of the American Psychological Association, the most important reference database for the field.

We thank each and every person who was and is part of Ciencias Psicológicas.
