With this volume we celebrate 10 years of uninterrupted edition of the journal, celebrating it with the first complete publication in English, in addition to the usual Spanish or Portuguese; it was a challenge for a small editorial management team and for the authors of the papers who had to count with the effort of their universities and budgets. Nonetheless, they accompanied the challenge and here we present that arduous task of the academy to develop research, in many cases with great additional efforts.

A scientific publication in Psychology, Neuroscience and Health implies recognizing the multidisciplinary character that currently surrounds this area and, in addition, to assume the diverse methodologies that these use for the subjects of interest and especially on those that the society demands answers from the academy. To publish then is not only to put the research products on a manuscript, but also to understand rules to overcome frustrations and have the strength to keep trying. Ortega y Gasset wrote, “science is only an ideal, today’s one corrects the one from yesterday and the one from tomorrow it corrects today’s one”; to accept this also, as people, means to understand that we are that link to which the philosopher referred.

Currently, publishing can be for many an essential accreditation for their academic career, at a level in some cases perverse, as the phrase “publish or perish” states. For those who have the courage to share their work, learning to write science articles, knowing their rules and the formats that make their reading viable in different areas is essential; they must also be trained in that, both authors and evaluators, this input significantly improves the quality of a journal.

In these ten years we have to thank all the authors and evaluators that accompanied us and the members of the editorial management team who had made a great effort to bring this volume to you. Ten years ago the editorial board dreamed to create a publication that would bring together works from our country and the region, seeking to spread and advance research in our languages, now we also convert English into ours, expanding not only the language “territory” but also the geographical one in response to readers who are already following us from other hemispheres, seeking to contribute with that tiny part in the wonderful task that surrounds the creation of knowledge; remembering what Plutarch said that “knowledge is not a vessel that is filled but a fire that is ignited”.
