This text explores the world of Āyurveda, the ancient traditional medicine of India, and its growing adoption in Mexico as an alternative medicine, both among people of Indian origin residing in Mexico and among Mexicans interested in alternative therapies beyond biomedicine. Āyurveda is based on a holistic philosophy that seeks balance between body, mind, and spirit, offering a comprehensive approach to health and well-being. In this paper we analyze the fundamental principles of Āyurveda, its therapeutic techniques, and its presence in Mexico are described, highlighting the increasing popularity of Āyurvedic therapies, wellness centers, and health professionals who have adopted this practice. Additionally, the text discusses the potential benefits of this system, as well as cultural and safety considerations when integrating it into the Mexican healthcare system.
