It is a rare entity, the incidence in Uruguay is 1/3000 to 1/4000, Haiti 1/300 and the United States 1/5000 live births. We report the clinical case of a 40-year-old female patient who started two months of delivery with elements of global heart failure, confirming dilated heart disease with decreased ejection fraction. Medical treatment was performed with good clinical evolution, as it happens in 50% of the cases of this pathology.
