GARRIDO MATURANO, Ángel Enrique. The contemporary socio-political danger and its ethico-religious corrective: a reading of Søren Kierkegaard's A Literary Review. Humanidades [online]. 2026, n.19, e1912.  Epub 01-Jun-2026. ISSN 1510-5024.  https://doi.org/10.25185/19.12.

The article reconstructs Kierkegaard's analysis of two epochs in A Literary Review. The reconstruction pursues two objectives. First, to show as the danger of the idiosyncrasy of our own contemporary epoch the fusion of the risks latent in the passionate character of the age of revolution and in the reflective character of the ‘present age’, namely the risk of demonic deviation and the risk of spiritual corruption. Second, to elucidate in what sense Kierkegaard offers us an ethico-religious corrective to the political danger of our time and determines the idea of good and its religious meaning as the essence of this corrective

Palavras-chave : Kierkegaard; contemporary society; danger; corrective; good.
