Resumen

VALLS, Francisco Rodríguez. Person and human nature in the technological society. An analysis from an existential point of view. Humanidades (Montevideo. En línea) [online]. 2021, n.10, pp.19-38.  Epub 01-Dic-2021. ISSN 1510-5024.  https://doi.org/10.25185/10.2.

Does human life have an objective meaning with fixed goals? Or does it rather have a subjective one, since the human being freely chooses his ends and creatively disposes the means to achieve them? Or perhaps the meaning of life lies in the search for meaning and, if it is not found, the possibility of existential failure arises in the absence of a purpose for which to live? The article explores the last option within the framework of technological society, revealing it as a possibility of the same philosophical import as the other two.

Palabras clave : person; nature; technoscience; meaning of life; existence.
