Abstract

SILVEIRA, David; CADENAZZI, Mónica; ZANONIANI, Ramiro  and  BOGGIANO, Pablo. Changes in the Pastoral Value of the Vegetation in Silvopastoral Systems and Grassland. Agrociencia Uruguay [online]. 2019, vol.23, n.2, pp.41-52.  Epub Dec 01, 2019. ISSN 1510-0839.  https://doi.org/10.31285/agro.23.103.

The objective of the work was to study the effect of forest plantation on the soil cover, the productive types and the pastoral value of the herbaceous stratum. The study was carried out in three locations, in 18 transects located in the row between, short fire alleys and natural grassland, locating 30 frames of 0.25 m2 in each. The coverage of 172 species was determined and, using the classification of productive types, the pastoral value corrected for vegetation cover was estimated. The communities developed under forest plantations had lower vegetation cover. The pastoral value of the communities developed in alleys of fire cutting and plantations of Pinus taeda and Eucalyptus grandis were inferior to the rest of the situations.

Keywords : productive types; soil cover; native communities.
