OLIVA, Manuel et al. Factors that Influence the Adoption of Silvopastoral Technologies with Native Species Alnus acuminata (aliso). Agrociencia Uruguay [online]. 2018, vol.22, n.2, pp.113-121. ISSN 1510-0839.  https://doi.org/10.31285/agro.22.2.9.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of the of socioeconomic and environmental factors on the adoption of silvopastoral technologies using the native species Alnus acuminata (aliso) by livestock producers in the district of Molinopampa, Amazonas, Peru. In order to characterize adopters and non adopters, 90 livestock producers were surveyed. A correlation analysis between the explanatory and the explained variables was performed to evaluate the probability of adoption through the estimation of the logistic regression model. As a result, it was demonstrated that environmental and economic factors are more influential in the adoption of silvopastoral technologies with Alnus acuminata, while in social factors their degree of influence was less, since not all of them predetermined the adoption of technologies. Moreover, producers who adopted these technologies had higher economic incomes and better education levels, while the variables main activity, installed tree species, farming support and water quality, significantly contributed to the adoption of silvopastoral technologies based on Alnus acuminata. These results can be extrapolated to the remaining livestock producers in the district of Molinopampa.
