Women's access to housing programs in Latin America varies significantly depending on the country and the specific housing policies implemented in each context. However, in many countries across the region, women face substantial challenges in accessing housing due to economic, social, and cultural factors that perpetuate gender inequality. This study aims to highlight the importance of incorporating a gender perspective in public policy formulation, particularly in relation to women's access to housing, to promote their empowerment. Through a bibliographic review and a comparative analysis of housing program access rates in two Latin American contexts Mexico and Colombia this research examines how such policies impact women's well-being. Finally, it reflects on the importance of ensuring women's access to social and housing programs, not only as a tool to improve their living conditions but also to strengthen their autonomy and contribute to the development of their environment and quality of life.
