The evolution of university centers has been oriented towards the reconfiguration of their open spaces as a natural extension of the indoor training environments and at the same time serving not only as containers for the various social interactions of their occupants but also as beneficial settings for physical health. mental. The references shown are located in the city of Lima and reflect the valuation and leading configuration of open spaces through their positioning as main axes of design, supporting what is stated in the scientific literature. This article seeks to contribute to a change of perspective of the different types of university open spaces, perceived as external voids of a passive nature, neglected during the growth stage of the Latin American educational infrastructure of recent decades, and present them as dynamic components, elementary and facilitators of the student's informal activities capable of cooperating with formal teaching spaces in obtaining favorable environments for integral learning processes.
