With the adoption of the Marrakesh Treaty, the provision of materials in accessible formats for beneficiaries is becoming a reality. In order to make the provisions of the Treaty effective, the library as a social institution, guarantors of access to reading, are in essence authorized entities by facilitating access to information and are a means to promote social justice by contributing to reduce information barriers by providing accessibility for its users by making materials available in alternative formats. This work identified the degree of knowledge of the Marrakesh Treaty in the library sector of Paraguay. The persons in charge of libraries in Paraguay were asked about this Treaty, as well as about the services offered in their information units since the ratification of this instrument. The methodology used was a descriptive observational study of an exploratory nature. The sample consisted of 28 people working in different libraries who correctly completed the electronic questionnaire with closed and open-ended questions used as an instrument for data collection. The results reflect the poor implementation of services based on the Marrakesh Treaty and the need for training for better implementation.
