This work examines the treatment of the environment in the Chilean Constitutional Court’s jurisprudence. For grasping that, the Constitutional text is analyzedwith regards to its configuration,the sustainable development paradigm, and the conflicts between environmental and private (property and free enterprise) rights. The research finally analyses the way these are solved by the Chilean Constitutional Court in its case law.
