International transport has a great importance in the economy of the privates and of diverse States. Also, from the legal point of view, the international transport contract is presented as one of the businesses to which the doctrine has paid great attention.

This work focuses on the contract for the international carriage of goods by road, as it is of the kind that shows the greatest discussions and problems.

In this exposition an analysis is made from a double perspective: from the Contracts and from the Private International Law, providing a point of view on those topics that have generated greater doubts to those who apply the law.
