Abstract

MULET, Lucía Rizik. International maintenance obligations for children in chilean legal system. Rev. Fac. Der. [online]. 2017, n.43, pp.182-234. ISSN 0797-8316.  https://doi.org/10.22187/rfd2017n2a7.

The regulation of international maintenance under Chilean laws is restricted to the inclusion of the 1956 New York Convention. Regarding children, this meager regulation, and the lack of national legal scholar opinions on the subject, cause difficulties in the payment of maintenance to and from foreign countries. Current legislation and legal solutions for international maintenance are discussed in this paper, while new approaches are proposed for its implementation.

Keywords : Convenio de Nueva York de 1956; obligaciones alimenticias; migraciones; derechos del niño; cobro de alimentos en el extranjero.
