Objective: Describe the actions to promote humanized care for the elderly: experience report. Methods: Descriptive qualitative experience report carried out in a public university in nursing and obstetrics with a curricular design centered on the theory of Jean Watson and focused on care for the elderly. 32 students participated in a semester evaluation and feedback process. A plenary session was held and the synthesis of the evaluation was recorded in an anonymous digital form, the analysis of this information was through content analysis. Results: As factors emerged: teacher attitude, didactic strategies, thematic contents, teacher accompaniment and meaning of humanized care. Conclusions: The factors that promote humanized care for the elderly are developed from the teacher's awareness and mastery of his ability to accompany and care attitudes in experiential and dynamic strategies.
