The teaching of a L3 has been handled in the same way as a L2, without taking into account that the bilinguals show a greater metalinguistic awareness and that they use as strategies of transference the ones acquired in L2. These advantages allow them to accelerate the learning of the new language as long as they are presented with a motivational and practical teaching experience, more appropriate for their professional future. We wonder, therefore, whether it would be more logical to adapt L3 classes from the beginning to professional conventions instead of acquiring standard language patterns. The results confirm that it is possible, if it takes advantage of the previous learning experiences that L3 students have, and defining a communicative and social methodology necessary to achieve effective learning. This analysis can facilitate L3 teaching work planning.
