In enunciating, the speaker expounds his opinion, reveals values and beliefs, trying not only to influence people, but also to establish agreement with them. It is in the enunciation, therefore, that the argumentative strategies are processed. Considering that, in the argumentative system of any discourse, ethos occupies a prominent place, this text aims to show how the Fradinhos, characters created by the drawer Henfil, are revealed in the humorous discourse. For this, it is taken as corpus of analysis graphic productions that are included in the first issue of the reprint edition of Fradim magazine (2013, historical edition). The study is based especially on the theoretical assumptions of Rhetoric (Aristóteles ;2015) and New Rhetoric (Perelman e Olbrechts-Tyteca 1996; Reboul 2004; Meyer 2007), approaches in which the ethos constitutes the image that the speaker / enunciator produces of itself in its discourse.
