In the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Havana, a group of researchers works on the development of the macro category of assessment, based on the semantic and ideographic categorization of the linguistic meaning. To continue developing the theory of the macro category of assessment and the studies for the elaboration of ideographic and semantic dictionaries of the mentioned category, proposed by Dr. Leandro Caballero Diaz (1989), the members of this group has been carrying out an intensive work to determine and describe different semantic fields of assessment for the elaboration of semantic and ideographic dictionaries of assessment. Among these projects, the proposal of the structure for the ideographic and semantic dictionary of the utilitarian assessment has been developed as a result of an intensive pre lexicographic work to delimit the semantic field of the mentioned category
