The purpose of this article is to describe the results of an investigation that had as aim identify and characterize the representations of the Guarani and the Spanish in student body of schools of the Buenos Aires city with Guarani speaking population. The frame of our work was the Glotopolítica (Arnoux, 2000; del Valle, 2007; Guespin and Marcellesi, 1986) and the offers of Bourdieu (1999) and Boye (1991) on the sociolinguistic representations. To reach the above mentioned aim we apply a questionnaire 305 students, whose answers were quantified. We observed that the majority of students have a negative view of the Guaraní language and positive of de Spanish. However, by grouping students according to whether mother and / or father were born in Paraguay and if  anyone speaks Guarani at home, we find that in these subgroups is valued the Guarani
