Summary: Down’s Syndrome is one of the most commons handicapped conditions. Within the most prevalent buccal problems in this kind of patients, the periodontal disease is one of the oral diseases associated to this syndrome. It is considered that the person with Down´s Syndrome have more susceptibility to contract this disease. In this paper the etiological factors and the clinical characteristics of the disease in patient with the syndrome are described
