According to Brazilian Health Department, 3% of the general population has severe and persistent mental disorders, and 12% needs some care in mental health, whether continuous or fortuitous. The aim of this work is illustrate the experience of some investments in initiatives of health, techniques and methodologies with psychiatric patients in intensive treatment regime of the Center for Psychosocial Care I (CAPS) located in the municipal district of São Sepé, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. During the period January - June 2009 it was made some workshops with groups of patients, with recreational activities, and oral prevention activities in intensive treatment regime of the Center for Psychosocial Care I (CAPS) located in the municipal district of São Sepé, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
