Resumen

DOMINGUEZ POZOS, Fernando. University narratives: Students’ testimonies from northwestern Mexico during return to classrooms postconfinement. Inmediac. Comun [online]. 2023, vol.18, n.2, pp.165-180.  Epub 01-Dic-2023. ISSN 1510-5091.  https://doi.org/10.18861/ic.2023.18.2.3513.

The article analyzes the perceptions, the value given to the use of platforms and social networks as a teaching-learning resource during the COVID-19 pandemic and the sense that the students of Universidad Autónoma de Baja California -one of the first universities of Mexico to return to the classrooms-, grant to face-to-face classes. For this purpose, testimonials were collected and a systematic tracking of the platforms and social networks used as communication channels during the pandemic -Facebook, Tiktok, WhatsApp and Meet, preferably- was carried out for the purpose of observing the transformations experienced and to reflect on the process of accelerating the uses of technology in university life -a challenge that is currently expanding and probing the adaptation of universities to virtual environments and the development of Artificial Intelligence in university practices.

Palabras clave : University education; pandemic; platforms; social networks; new digital environments.
