The contemporary media ecosystem, fueled by digital technology and social media, faces the challenge of reaching an increasingly fragmented and elusive audience. To understand this audience profile, this research presents an exploration of the concept of liquid modernity and its negative implications on communication and the audience. After this analysis, the traits of the fans are explored with the objective of reflecting on the challenges of recovering a sense of communication that fosters the generation of communities. In this way, the figure of the fan appears as the profile that is linked intellectually and emotionally with the stories, and that participates and dialogues in the digital environment creating communities and fostering a sense of belonging through shared knowledge and traditions.
