Resumen

This article presents the outcome of the validation of a training program for new teachers. The analysis was based on three qualitative cases taking into account how new teachers integrate themselves in the institutional culture, thus facing the challenge of making a balance between applying their knowledge and the need of being innovative. The document shows that new teachers face challenges coming from the dynamics of the institution itself which leads them to adapt their practices, build their own understanding of the context and develop innovative skills that are relevant to keep on growing their teaching carreer
