The purpose of this article is to offer some reflections about evolution that laïque education in Mexico has had in the regulations in contrast with the lack of understanding by subjects in their educational relationships. Facing the growing religious pluralism in current society, the challenges for a laïque State and its public institutions (educational and health among others) are numerous and complex, in the sense that a guarantee is needed to the exercise of the fundamental rights and liberties of all the individuals with the objective of promoting the respect of beliefs that could be religious, agnostics, atheistic, as well as the practice of philosophical convictions with the aim of favor the coexistence of citizens in public life without distinction
