Abstract
VERONESE, Marilia Verissimo. Solidarity economy and art/culture production as a power to promote mental health. Psicol. Conoc. Soc. [online]. 2023, vol.13, n.3, pp.99-115. Epub Dec 01, 2023. ISSN 1688-7026. https://doi.org/10.26864/pcs.v13.n3.7.
The article approaches the articulation between mental health, solidary economic practices and the production of culture and the arts, in the perspective of the potentialities that such complexity presents. Art is both a vehicle for promoting a more autonomous subjectivity, as for generating economic value to the users. It was observed, through ethnographic qualitative research, the significant power of relational mediation that artistic-cultural production had in the researched enterprises, also serving as an element of politicization, participation and occupation of the city.
Keywords : Culture and the arts; solidarity economy; mental health.
