Narratives about the brain gain more space in our collective. This expansion has led to a questioning of the place of psychology between the sciences of cognition and its relation to neuroscience data. When we consider the literature about inter-scientific relations in the cognitive sciences, we see that the issue is approached in terms of reduction of theories of higher level to lower-level theories. Inspired by Mol (1999) we adopt the concept of ontological politics and the relationships with other concepts of Science, Technology and Society Studies in order to provide a conceptual tool that allows us to reflect on the inter-scientific relation without the need for reduction between theories. From this proposal, we seek to compare specific sets of subjects, instruments and institutions that perform the mind, emphasizing how our practices shape and configure our cognition in varied ways.
