The general objective of this article is to make a more in-depth discussion about sexuality of the elderly population, with an emphasis on aging LGBT's (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transvestite, transsexual). The focus of the discussion runs through psychosocial issues that deal with old age and sexuality and more specifically about old age LGBT. There are many challenges to be faced by the aging LGBT population, even with struggles against stigma and prejudice, the configuration of society is still hetero-normative. This study emphasizes the need to redefine some concepts related to identity, gender and generation, due to the new gender configurations that are appearing in contemporary society.
