At present, we are witnessing an environmental problem where human activities are causing a loss of biodiversity and a significant deterioration of the natural resources essential to the continuity of life on earth. In the context of globalization impregnated by neoliberalism, the reduction of national states and the relevance of transnational corporations, market law guides the actions in the various fields of human endeavor, including ways of thinking, feeling and doing. The issue of sustainable development has gradually become the political axis about which countries, integrated multilateral agencies as some of the areas of international relations, try to face hardly the issue of economic, social and environmental. Faced with the homogeneous perspective proposed by the current moment of capitalism, arise critical and diverse perspectives and visions that consider and propose the need for a civilizational change including the dimensions of the political, economic, social, cultural and academia - scientific.
