Resumen
ZUNINO, Pablo. The converging paths of two Uruguayan scholars: Clemente Estable and Miguel Rubino. Veterinaria (Montev.) [online]. 2023, vol.59, n.219, e601. Epub 01-Jun-2023. ISSN 0376-4362. https://doi.org/10.29155/vet.59.219.4.
During the last decades of the 19th century, political turmoil and economic limitations catalyzed a strong migratory flow from Italy to Uruguay, among other destinations. As part of this trend, the families of Clemente Estable and Miguel Rubino settled in Uruguay. Both personalities, relevant to our country’s science, education, and culture, built trajectories that met at times in interests, jobs, concerns, and warm human closeness. This article aims to illustrate the paths at several times convergent of both Uruguayan scholars, whose lives and works have made them relevant personalities in the national culture in its broadest sense.
