FERNANDEZ, Paola; PARMA, Gabriel  and  SILVERA, Gabriela. New therapies in heart failure: Resynchronization therapy. Arch. Med Int [online]. 2009, vol.31, n.1, pp.28-31. ISSN 0250-3816.

Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) is an alternative treatment for patients with severe and refractory heart failure with ECG conduction disturbances. Several clinical trials have demonstrated its beneficial effects on ventricular function, exercise capacity, quality of life and functional class. Currently, there is enough evidence about the cardiac resynchronization therapy impact on morbidity and mortality within this group of patients with heart failure.
