Intimate partner violence is a significant issue in today's society, especially in Argentina. This study aimed to analyze the prediction of life satisfaction and suicidal ideation from intimate partner violence and hope. The sample consisted of 235 adults (84 % female) with a mean age of 36 years (SD = 11.04) from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Participants responded to a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Revised Conflict Tactics Scale (CTS2), the Dispositional Hope Scale (DHS), the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), and the Frequency of Suicidal Ideation Inventory (FSII). Results showed that hope positively predicted life satisfaction, while psychological aggression negatively predicted it. Furthermore, physical assault was a strong predictor of suicidal ideation. These findings can help mental health professionals develop targeted interventions to reduce suicidal risk and improve mental health outcomes for individuals experiencing intimate partner violence, or low levels of hope or life satisfaction.
