Abstract

PIZZINATO, Adolfo; URIBE CALDERON, Magaly; DA COSTA SOUZA, Luiz Augusto  and  FERREIRA BURTON, Lígia. PROJECTIONS OF FUTURE AND FAMILY LIFE OF YOUNG RURAL WOMEN. Cienc. Psicol. [online]. 2016, vol.10, n.2, pp.143-155. ISSN 1688-4094.

This article discusses the perceptions of a group of young women from the countryside about family, their roles and future projections based on the analysis of photographs and interviews performed in the inland of Brazil. It was found that these perceptions are framed by traditional and patriarchal discourses that create indecision about staying close to their family, with a more traditional draft of lifestyle, or migrate to the city and expand their possibilities of working life, trying to improve life quality, facing changes and new customs considered as very different and uncertain and little overseen in rural schools in the area

Keywords : rurality; life project; gender; family.
