Seventy-six semi-structured interviews to children of 10 and 11 years old, from medium-high and low socioeconomic status of the city of Cordoba, were conducted, selected by theoretical sampling. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. In turn, an analysis of the underlying causal attributions was made and a traversal exploration of the ideological dimension around the understanding of this social problem. Results indicate that both groups shared some aspects about their understanding of social inequality. Still, certain dimensions showed differences between the two groups, accounting for differences in the way to understand social inequality based on social belongings of the participants
