Abstract

DAGUERRE, Leticia; CORDERO, Soledad  and  COSTA-BALL, Daniel. PSYCHOMETRIC PROPERTIES OF THE PBQ-SF IN ITS SPANISH VERSION, IN URUGUAYAN POPULATION. Cienc. Psicol. [online]. 2015, vol.9, n.spe, pp.163-175. ISSN 1688-4221.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the 'Personality Belief Questionnaire-short form' (Beck  Beck, 1991) in its Spanish version validated in Colombia by Londoño et al. (2012). The PBQ-SF measures core dysfunctional beliefs related to personality disorders: antisocial, narcissist, histrionic, border, dependent, avoidant, obsessive-compulsive, passive-aggressive, paranoid and schizoid. A sample of 523 Uruguayan university students in Montevideo completed the questionnaire. The findings showed good internal consistency and a high correlation between the scales. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) indicates more similitude than differences with the original instrument. Results provide the basis for carrying out future confirmatory factor analysis
