This research aims to investigate the relationship between Parental Styles and Family Quality of Life, in parents of preteens who exhibit disruptive behavior in classroom. The work reported in this paper corresponds to a quantitative, descriptive, and correlational study. Variables were measured through the Family Quality of Life Scale ([ECVF] Summers, Hoffman, Marquis, Turnbull & Poston, 2005), and the Parenting styles and dimensions questionnaire, ([PSDQ] Robinson, Mandleco, Olsen & Hart,1995). The sample was composed of 46 families including father, mother and son / daughter, (11 - 13 years old), in a private basic school of Chillán, Chile, exhibiting behavioral problems at school. Results showed parenting style dominant in both parents was authoritative. Furthermore, significant correlations were found between variables authoritative parenting style, and quality family of life
