Abstract

Radiofrecuencia pulsada del Ganglio de Gasser en neuralgia intratable pos-infección herpética. Anest Analg Reanim [online]. 2010, vol.23, n.1, pp.26-29. ISSN 1688-1273.

SUMMARY A 55 years old patient with disseminated lung cancer is presented, with a Herpes Zoster infection of the three left trigeminal divisions, with intense burning pain crisis resistant to three weeks of harmacological pain treatment. Pulsed Radiofrequency of the Gasserian Ganglion was performed, by imageguidedapproach of the Foramen Ovale by using C arm fluoroscopy. Two cycles of 120 seconds of Pulsed Radiofrequency at 45 V and 42 º C were performed, with no complications. The patient presented only one minor pain crisis two hours after the procedure, was discharged from the hospital, keeping without symptoms taking minor doses of pain medicines until the thirty day control, just before decease
